Carlos Belém was born in Arouca, Portugal. He attended the Introduction to Plastic Arts course at the Soares dos Reis School of Decorative Arts in Porto and continued his studies at the ÁRVORE School of Arts. He completed his higher education in Drawing at the Escola Superior Artística do Porto (ESAP). He is a member of the National Association of Plastic Artists (Associação Nacional de Artistas Plásticos – ANAP). He has exhibited both individually and collectively in Portugal, Spain, France, Greece, Iran, and Russia.
